Police beat: Shoplifting team at Bloomingdale's

  • Obscene graffiti was found today on a sign in front of Temple Beth-El on Hauppauge Road.

    Huntington Station
  • A woman told police that vandals damaged her car yesterday in the Wendy's parking lot on West Jericho Turnpike.

  • Personnel at Bloomingdale's at the Walt Whitman Mall said they saw three shoplifters run out of the store and leave in a black Lexus yesterday. No license plate number was given for the car in the police report.

  • The owner of the All About Tile store on Route 110 told police he found graffiti on his building today. He said this has been an on-going problem for him.

    Arrest roundup
    The 2nd Precinct that covers the Town of Huntington reported that 39 arrests were made from Sept. 11-12. Charges included petit larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, burglary, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal contempt.
