Suffolk County police are investigating the death of a Garden City woman yesterday afternoon in a car crash on West Neck Road in Lloyd Harbor.
Police said Maria Boulukos, 87, of 252 Cherry Valley Ave., Garden City, was driving her 2003 Mercedes northbound at 3:17 when it left the road and struck a tree just north of Grouse Lane.
Boulukos was taken to Huntington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
