The South Huntington Water District will hold an informational meeting Monday at 5 p.m. to outline details of a plan for $4.57 million in additions and improvements to its facilities.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be at the South Huntington Library, 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, in Huntington Station. The district needs the town board's cooperation in floating a bond to finance the work. The bond would be paid back with money raised from water district customers.
The bulk of the money, more than $3 million, is to be spent on an air stripping plant to remove impurities from the water.
