Stephanie Giovinco of Northport, front and center in hat, sits surrounded by family and friends from "Team Giovinco" after they raised $6,000 sunday for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at a walk in Old Westbury.
Stephanie, who is 11, was diagnosed in July with type 1 diabetes, and her mother, Yvonne, and father Frank, a lieutenant in the East Northport Fire Department, led the group in the three-mile rundraising walk at SUNY College at Old Westbury.
