Raising funds for breast cancer

Linda Behrman, a student at Katharine Gibbs School, was on campus during a Gibbs flea market last month to help raise funds in the name of classmate and breast cancer patient Lee Scheeler. Behrman, who represented the Huntington chapter of the Breast Cancer Coalition at the flea market, raised $120 and plans to organize a special Breast Cancer Awareness Day in this month at Gibbs’ Melville campus. She is from North Merrick.

This is Lee Scheeler - friend and classmate of Linda Behrman. I just wanted to give her a big THANK YOU! Her support and the support of my other friends at Gibbs have gotten me through some tough times. I am in treatment now and am hoping to feel well enough to come speak at the Awareness Day Linda is hosting on the Gibbs Melville campus. I think Newsday should cover the event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. - Thank you, Lee

I am the husband of Linda Behrman.
I may be prejudiced but Linda has a heart bigger than her body. She gives 110% to any cause she believes in. Huntington chapter of the Beast Cancer Coalition is very fortunate to have LInda volunteer her time. She is smart and will have excellent ideas to inform Long Islanders of the work this organization does for cancer patients and to promote cancer research.
I love my wife very much and wish her lots of luck with her work in this organization
