The Community Development Corporation of Long Island will hold a free seminar on how to avoid home foreclosure in Huntington. Hosted by Councilwomen Glenda Jackson, the seminar, Hope For Homeowners: Taking Positive Steps to Avoid Foreclosure, will cover pertinent methods to avoid the foreclosure of your house, as well as discuss options in the event of such a situation. The event takes place Monday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. in the town board room. To RSVP, call Susannah Mrazek at 631-351-3270.
