Rachel Wiener of East Northport, a social worker at Central Islip High School, has received the Excellence in Sexuality Education Award from the Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Region.
She was cited for her work with at-risk students during her 12-year tenure in the district.
Prior to becoming a social worker at Central Islip High School, Wiener served her internship as the district’s substitute social worker.
